HydroMentia provides operations support for Algal Turf Scrubber® and Water Hyacinth Scrubber systems, including pilot-scale demonstrations, full-scale facility planning, startup support, performance evaluation, and long-term operational optimization.
Successful managed aquatic plant treatment systems depend on more than basic construction. Hydraulic loading, flow distribution, harvest frequency, biomass handling, solids management, monitoring, and seasonal operating conditions all influence treatment performance. HydroMentia’s experience with pilot-scale and utility-scale systems can help owners and engineering teams develop practical operating strategies that support reliable nutrient removal and biomass recovery.
For pilot and demonstration projects, HydroMentia can assist with operating protocols, monitoring plans, harvest strategy, troubleshooting, and interpretation of performance data. For larger municipal or regional facilities, HydroMentia can support the development of operating concepts, staffing assumptions, maintenance procedures, performance targets, and optimization strategies in coordination with the project owner and engineering team.
HydroMentia does not currently provide full-time facility operations services. Instead, the company supports owners, operators, and engineering firms as a specialized technology consultant with experience in ATS and managed aquatic plant system operation, harvesting, monitoring, and performance optimization.
